Curious to see how the beloved rhythm game Friday Night Funkin' (FNF) plays within the Scratch development environment? The Friday Night Funkin Scratch Version Early Demo takes you back to the very beginning, offering a unique glimpse into the charm of this early prototype.
In this early demo, you dive into the core story: Boyfriend wants to kiss his girlfriend, Girlfriend, but must face her mean and evil father, a former rockstar. He's trying to kill you, and your only weapon is the power of music. You must survive this rhythmic showdown. For now, the demo features the iconic track "Bopeebo" for you to test your skills.
This project is a result of community collaboration, with thanks to numerous contributors:
The controls are intuitive: use WASD or your keyboard's arrow keys to play, just like in the original game. A very useful pro tip for this Scratch version is when you encounter multiple identical arrows in a row (for example, four left arrows), just hold down the corresponding key. This will significantly boost your combo success rate.
Please note that according to the game rules, any advertising posted in the comments will not be tolerated and will be deleted. To start playing, simply click "Story Mode" and press the Spacebar when the week menu appears. While this early demo is a fun way to explore FNF's origins, for the complete experience with all characters, weeks, and songs, you're strongly encouraged to play the official, completely free full version of Friday Night Funkin'.
