Friday Night Funkin Hex Mod WIP is a work-in-progress rhythm game mod available for free at fnf.gosprunki.net. This mod pays tribute to cabalex's original Friday Night Funkin project, while introducing brutal new difficulty mechanics and a glitchy twist. Original creator: @cabalex. Modded by @kris235.
What Makes Hex Mod WIP Different?
The mod significantly ramps up the challenge: missed notes now drain 4.5 HP instead of the standard 1 HP. One mistake can cost you the game. A new Glitcher element has been added to keep you on edge. The menu screen is skippable – just press the Spacebar to jump straight into the action. As of version v0.1.1 (April 12, 2021), the intro text has been made "salty" for a more attitude-filled start.

- v14 (3/29/2021): Added misses counter and local high scores – try for a perfect run.
- v13 (3/8/2021): Fixed held notes display bug on pixel songs.
- v12 (3/7/2021): Fixed massive bug where multiple notes could be hit at once; combos now work correctly.
- v11 (3/6/2021): Internal structure made more friendly to modding.
- v10 (2/25/2021): Finally fixed held notes (may cause slight lag).
- v9v2 (2/25/2021): Made timing more lenient.
- v9v1 (2/23/2021): Fixed exploit allowing points by spamming held notes.
- v9 (2/23/2021): Introduced scoring systems – compete worldwide for high scores across all difficulties.
- v8 (2/22/2021): Reuploaded to Scratch after takedown; includes gameplay improvements and all songs finished.
- v7 (2/11/2021): Overhauled note hit/miss detection using the timer directly for more accuracy. This version was banned from Scratch – play it here: https://turbowarp.org/484321587.
- v6 (2/11/2021): Added most of Week 6.
- v5v1: Fixed bug where you could die in the menu.
- v5 (2/10/2021): Added Week 5 and a warning for Winter Horrorland (removed in v8).

- v3 (2/9/2021): Difficulty selection added; project size tripled.
- v2 (2/9/2021): Added Week 2 and 4; improved animation timing.
