Friday Night Funkin DIMENSION 16 Mod: A Rhythm Adventure with a Story

Friday Night Funkin DIMENSION 16 Mod is a feature-rich Scratch engine mod that adds a narrative layer to the classic rhythm gameplay. Created by @Houchdj (engine) with story by @MasonOrtiz161030, this mod turns FNF into a rescue mission.

Story Premise

Uh oh! Boyfriend got stuck in a game. Mason comes to save him, but he must navigate through unknown music and characters. It's up to you to HELP HIM! The mod introduces a unique mechanic: every time Mason misses 16 notes, he takes additional health away from Boyfriend, raising the stakes.

Controls and Advanced Features

Default controls are WASD or Arrow Keys (configurable in future updates). The mod also includes powerful developer tools:

• Press R to die (instant restart)
• Press 7 to open the chart editor
• To add or change a song, add your own inst/vocals, calculate duration, and edit song info within one of the music sprites
• To add your own characters, duplicate the dad sprite – instructions are inside the sprite for adding costumes

Update Log and Changes

Version 16 Update brings:

• New sounds changed
• Bock replaced Dad (character replacement)
• Pico changed to Animal Gun (half human, half animal)
• Fire element added
• Girlfriend now appears in the game part with Boyfriend
• Future updates will introduce new levels with their own original characters

Gameplay Mechanics

The core rhythm mechanic remains: "press arrow when arrow over other arrow". However, the "16 misses" penalty system adds tension. Missing notes repeatedly will deplete Boyfriend's health faster than usual. This encourages precision play.
